Slip Reservation 2016
For Boats Canoes, and Kayaks
Ice Out and June 24th -Labor Day
Any dues paid HOLA member with waterfront rights may use the harbor to launch their boat. No one has a right to a slip or rack space. You leave your vessel at your own risk. Using the harbor and the swim area are also at your own risk. Please check your vessel and equipment for milfoil. .

A sheet will be posted on the first rack with the number of your space. We recommend that canoes and kayaks be tied down because of the wind. Canoes and kayaks must be removed by October 1st. Please put your name and telephone number on your canoe or kayak.
For Boats only:
The Waterfront Committee will assign slips after the January Board Meeting. You will be notified of your slip number in January. Also a sheet with the slip numbers will be posted on the shed. If your slip is going to be vacant or out for repair in the time you requested, you must notify me or I will assign another boat to it. Please have your name and telephone number visible on your boat. You may have to take turns with the slips. This past year the busiest time was for ice-out. There is no overnight parking for trailers.

Road Commissioners Report:
March 12, 2016
Burgess Construction is continuing to do a great job of plowing and sanding our roads. As always, please direct any questions or concerns to me and not directly to Burgess.
Road money spent to date:

Loop Road: Culvert with minor ditching and rip rap. $1,875.81

Winston Road: Culvert, ditching, rip rap, taking down berms and road widening at the bottom of the road. Gravel rolled with roller. $4,051.19
Snowplowing and sanding $5,927.00
Snowplowing and sanding. December 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015. $7,325.00
Snowplowing and sanding. January 1, 2016 to January 17, 2016. $4,831.25
Snowplowing and sanding. January 18, 2016 to January 22, 2016 $2,122.50

The early and sudden arrival of unseasonably warm weather thawed our roads early and quicker than the norm. This, along with the accompanying rain, turned many sections of our roads into mud bogs.
Due to the early arrival of the warm weather and the roads softening up, they were posted on March 7, 2016.

I have heard from all but Ana Wetherill and they all have said that they would like to be on for another 3 years. I will follow up with Ana.
I am undecided as to whether or not I will seek another term. If I decide not to run I will try to find someone to replace me.
We do have the names of a few people who might consider being a director and I will contact them. We still have to find someone to replace Mike.

The issue regarding allowing non HOLA property owner to become a member of HOLA was postponed until the next Board meeting.
